The Ballad of Captin John is a sea shanty based on a fictional pirate captin. I wrote the song because I had always liked sea shanties, it also shows that the students here at COC are capable of playing and making all kinds of music! One of my goals for this song was to keep the insturmntation as traditional as possible but we added a modern twist. Im super happy with how it turned out, and I think its a fun song to listen to
