About Serena Laurel
Serena Laurel is a singer-songwriter, award-winning actress, style icon, and brand influencer. She is a Fender endorsed artist who has been playing her own set of original songs in Southern California and her hometown on the East Coast for many years. In her own words, “my music sounds like a west coast drive down a jazzy road of 7th chords and witty lyrics similar to cruising in a convertible down the PCH with the sun setting.” She performs solo and with backing bands at venues like the Whisky Go-Go, House of Blues, Roxy, The Hotel Cafe, and appears at the State Social House monthly residency on Sunset Strip. Serena’s single Gold (2019) is released for streaming and downloading on all popular music sites with her next recorded song, Car Talks, to follow. Serena is also an award-winning actress best known for her role as “Lucy” in Summertime Dropouts alongside Quinton Aaron (Blindside) and the punk band Simple Plan.
Her Summertime Dropouts’ character “Lucy” is the lead guitarist in a girl’s pop-punk band competing to go on The Warped Tour. She has received six Best Actress Awards for her role as the hitchhiking starry-eyed sing-songwriter “Georgia Dean” in the thriller Nasty Habits (Amazon) written and directed by Allisyn Arm (AP Bio). Serena was awarded Best Actress by Film Fest LA Live in the Fantasy Film category for her starring role in Bird Song, a Game of Thrones fan film. She is a series regular as “Jessica” in NC-16 TV (1 Best Actress Award) and is also known for Total Eclipse (BratTV), and It’s Just a Story (Amazon). The Runway Dubai Show selected Serena has a style icon and patron for their Fashion Meets Music 2019 series. She hosts her own Youtube series Record Rant and hosts for Red Carpet Report TV (Radio Disney Music Awards).
A few brand partnerships include Fender, Coca-Cola’s Peace Tea, Bare Minerals, Speechless Dresses, to name a few. As a way of giving back, Serena has been selected to be an artist ambassador for three non-profit organizations that enable her to use music as a way to interact with those in need via live-stream fundraisers, concerts, and hospital visits. Breaking the Chains Foundation champions art therapy for patients recovering from eating and mental disorders. The Starlight Children’s Foundation raises money for seriously ill hospitalized children. Free2Luv.org promotes kindness and diversity through live concerts.
