About Frisky First Dates
Frisky First Dates was originally born in 2013 as a pop-punk duo, with members Chris Burns and Mark De La O releasing an upbeat four-track EP to much buzz among the local community. They, however, soon moved away from one another, pursued different careers, and the project fell silent for more than five years.
In that time, De La O continued to write music and dream of building his career underneath the name, and in 2019, Frisky First Dates returned with two unique, almost ethereal singles entitled "Breathe" and "Cloudy and Cold". The project is now entirely self-produced by De La O, in which he composes the music, writes lyrics, plays every instrument, and produces the tracks. Frisky First Dates has a four-track suite due to be released in December 2019, and a full-length album due in 2020.
